Braided Bead Necklace

I wanted to make another necklace today.  I stumbled upon this necklace concept from this website and decided to take a stab at it...obviously putting my own twist on it.  And I love it!

 Supplies
Scissors
Beads
Chain
Clasp
Stretch Magic string
Needle nose pliers
Cut 6 strands of the Stretch Magic string ( I cut them about 13" long).  Thread the beads on each string until the beaded section is about 8.5" long.  Tie a knot at each end of the beads to hold them in place.
Then, at one end, tie two beaded strands together...making a total of 3 strands.
Tie those three together onto one side of the chain.
 Braid those three strands together.
Tie the other end to the other chain.  Then cut off the excess strings.
Now it's time to put the clasp on the chain.
Open the two end links of the chains with the needle nose pliers.
Slide the clasp pieces onto the open chain links, and close tightly again with the needle nose pliers.  Now the necklace is complete!
Complete...and SUPER pretty.  I absolutely love the way it turned out.  I think it's gorgeous. :)

 Happy National Craft Month!
