Easter Wreath

Happy Easter!

I love Easter because it is one of the most (if not THE most) important holiday in the Christian faith.  It is the day we celebrate Christ dying for us, forgiving and atoning for our sins, and resurrecting from the dead!  What a fabulous reason to celebrate!!!

Instead of creating an Easter wreath with cute bunnies and eggs, I wanted to create one that spoke to the true meaning of Easter.

I used a wood wreath as the base, to symbolize the crown of thorns Christ wore during his crucifixion.
The purple elements were in reference to the royalty of our King.
The lilies symbolize purity, life, and hope.  Lilies signify the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hope of eternal life.
I formed the ribbon "bow" to resemble the shape of a cross.
Strung in the center of the wreath is the phrase "He Is Risen".
I love the way it turned out!
He is Risen.  He is Risen Indeed!!!

Happy Easter, everyone!
