Babies are so stinkin' adorable!
As I mentioned before in a previous post, my husband and I are expecting our first little blessing. :) We are having a boy, and as excited as we are for our little man to join our family, boys just aren't as fun to accessorize as little girls are. So when two of my friends had little girls recently, I jumped on the opportunity to make little flower headbands for them. :)
I used two different colours of yarn for each headband. One was purple and pink, the other was purple and yellow. The only supplies you need for this project are two different colours of yarn, a crochet hook (I used a size H), and a yarn needle.
Using one yarn colour, crochet a band, approximately 13" around (for newborn -3mo head size). I would suggest making the band 3-5 rows wide. Using the accent yarn colour, crochet a flower pattern. Any flower pattern you like will work. Make it as big or as little as you desire. Once the flower is made, use the yarn needle to sew it onto the band.
Before I gave it to my friend, I wanted to make sure it would look cute. So I tested it out on my sweet kitty. She was less than enthused to be a model, but I had fun.
Here are the babies doing their own (much better) modeling of the headbands. Aren't they adorable?!!! *faces are covered to protect the identity of the families*
